The Baal Shem Tov, or Besht —  the founder of Chasidism —
met the soul of the Messiah during an ascent to heaven.
The Besht asked him, "When will the Master come?"
The Messiah answered, "When your wellsprings break forth to the outside!"
(from a letter written by the Besht to his brother-in-law about one of his soul ascents)

Uman

Too much to say about this one. Some 25,000 men and maybe 200 women flock to Uman, Ukraine, every Rosh Hashanah, to be near Rebbe Nachman. It was one of the extraordinary experiences in my life, and I made a tape of everything I heard (when it wasn't yontif). And, I lost the tape. So If you are going to Uman this season, bring a recorder and a camera, and supply us with some goods!
