The
Baal Shem Tov, or Besht — the founder of Chasidism —
met the soul of the Messiah during an ascent to heaven.
The Besht asked him, "When will the Master come?"
The Messiah answered, "When your wellsprings break forth to the outside!"
(from a letter
written by the Besht to his brother-in-law about one of his soul ascents)
Here's a log of previous entries in the "What's New" section of the homepage, working backwards. As you can see, this log was kept carefully through the beginning of 2011. Since then it's been intermitent. Many entries have been updated over time. Last year the video of the covenant song was added to the homepage; somehow the Omer iPhone app didn't make it into the log. The entry for R. Menachem Froman zts"l has changed now that he has passed away, may his memory inspire us to do acts of kindness and peace. Note that most, but not all, of the links below should work.
Purim ~ A few Torahs and songs. Plus the Apparition of the Holy Virgin Esther, which you can see right on this page. [Now moved to Purim section] All praise to the Holy One!
[entries for what's new log from Rosh 2009–Tu Bishv'at 2010 were not recorded]

I would like to dedicate the prayer for voting to the memory of Grace Paley, one of my rebbes. May her dynamic presence and political savvy inspire us to action.
May you be inscribed for life and love. May all our relations from all walks of life (four-legged, many-legged, finned, by belly, wing, cilia, xylem, rhizome, etc.), be inscribed for life, sustenance and abundance.
